TACO MAC HIRES SENIOR DIRECTOR OF LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT

June 4, 2019

Lauren Reeves has been hooked on serving others since her first job as a restaurant hostess when she was 15. The garrulous teen turned well-seasoned industry veteran is eager to take on her new role as senior director of learning and development for Taco Mac, the iconic chain known for its wings, beer, and service. She joins Taco Mac following a successful 12-year run at Marlow’s Tavern where she served as senior manager of learning and development.

“I’ve had the great fortune of having many superb mentors in my career,” Reeves says. “The best part of my current job and the reason I wake up in the morning excited to go to work is because I am able to support others in the pursuit of their goals. My goal is to be an influential leader and mentor to Taco Mac staff. I love being a small part of peoples’ success stories.”

Taco Mac CEO Harold Martin, Jr. couldn’t be more impressed by Reeves’ expertise and enthusiasm. “Lauren is so energized about providing cutting-edge training and development programs that will allow us to continue being recognized as the go-to restaurant for craft beer and sports aficionados. I couldn’t ask for anything more.”

Atlanta-born and -raised, Reeves studied psychology and early childhood education at Georgia Highlands College. She lives with her husband and two young children in Canton. When she’s not supporting staff at Taco Mac, she enjoys spending time with her family at home or on the road. Her enthusiasm for good wine pairs well with her enjoyment of cooking.

In addition to her professional role, Reeves also is a personal fan of Taco Mac. “I tend to order the Cobb salad or roasted wings and then steal the fries and ranch dressing from my husband and kids’ plates.”
