Christmas in July
July 18, 2016
All of us here at Taco Mac are absolutely thrilled as we have officially kicked off our Christmas in July celebration! We saved up our favorite winter seasonal beers and are now ready to wrap them up and pour them for you. As our gift to you throughout July, we will release one of the beers listed below every Friday.
July 8th – Brooklyn Bel Aire
This scrumptious sour ale is dry-hopped with Amarillo to match the tropical fruit and citrus notes with the acidity of the beer. All of the acidity is derived from a natural, proprietary, house-cultured lactobacillus, isolated by and cultivated in Brooklyn’s house lab. Soft barley malts, wheat and spelt keep things dry and refreshing, and the whole thing comes together like a blend of Champagne, hops, and an unusually good pineapple. Simply put, Brooklyn Bel Aire tastes like being cool feels, and the eye-catching gold color will turn your beer glass into a fashion statement.
July 15th – Gouden Carolus
This dark Belgian beer by Het Anker has bold character and contains a generous 10.5 alcohol percentage. The strong ale rests a few months after its brewery process to reach an optimal balance and pours a caramel color with ruby highlights and a thin tan head. On the nose this beer has a big banana character with hints of licorice. Three kinds of hops and 6 different kinds of herbs and spices define the rich taste of this decadent Christmas beer.
July 22nd – Atwater Decadent Chocolate
Holding true to the Northern English tradition, Atwater’s Decadent Dark Chocolate Ale has at its foundation a nutty profile with a round mouthfeel. This delicious brown ale has chocolate extract consisting of three blended chocolates of varied depth. Decadent is a dark ale which means it is sessionable, easy drinking, and mid-bodied. On the nose you will experience syrupy sweet milk chocolate with just a hint of a caramel and vanilla edge. The end result is a rich, but not overly sweet, experience for both the beer and chocolate enthusiast.
July 29th – Oscar Blues Priscilla
The Oscar Blues Priscilla is an AmeriCAN take on the Belgian Classic Wit, featuring orange peel and coriander spice emanated from the basement blues music legacy Dave McIntyre (Oskar Blusologist) built at the original Oskar Blues Grill & Brew in Lyons, Colorado. On draft for over a decade, the 5.2% Priscilla dishes up zesty citrus and light fresh baked bread aromas mix with spicy, fruity fermentation. The Oscar Blues Priscilla is light bodied wheat with a subtle savory spice accent and a dry, lightly tart finish.
We invite you to come celebrate Christmas in July with us here at Taco Mac. No snow, just cold refreshing beers!
