About
Samuel Adams Boston Lager is the best example of the fundamental characteristics of a great beer offering a full rich flavor that is both balanced and complex. It is brewed using a decoction mash a time consuming traditional four vessel brewing process discarded by many contemporary brewers. This process brings forth a rich sweetness from the malt that makes it well worth the effort. Samuel Adams Boston Lager also uses only the finest of ingredients including two row barley as well as German Noble aroma hops. The exclusive use of two row barley not only imparts a full smooth body but also gives the beer a wide spectrum of malt flavor ranging from slightly sweet to caramel to slightly roasted. The Noble hops varieties Hallertau Mittelfruh and Tettnang Tettnanger add a wide range of floral piney and citrus notes which are present from the aroma through the flavor to the lingering smooth finish. We take great pride in the Noble hops used in our beers. They are hand selected by Jim Koch and our other brewers from the world's oldest hops growing area. Among the world's most expensive they cost twenty times as much as other hops.

This is the award-winning original American brown ale first brewed as a holiday specialty and now one of our most popular beers year-round. Northern English brown ales tend to be strong and dry while southern English brown ales are milder and sweeter. Brooklyn Brown Ale combines the best of those classic styles and then adds an American accent in the form of a firm hop character and roasty palate. A blend of six malts some of them roasted give this beer its deep russet-brown color and complex malt flavor fruity smooth and rich with a caramel chocolate and coffee background. Generous late hopping brings forward a nice hop aroma to complete the picture. Brooklyn Brown Ale is full-flavored but retains a smoothness and easy drinkability that has made it one of the most popular dark beers in the Northeast.

The Paulaner Salvator with its strongtypically malty taste is the original Paulaner. The bottom-fermented Doppelbock-Bier unites the finest hops and dark barley malt. The Paulaner monks served Salvator as a replacement for food at Lent. Their most famous brewer was Brother Barnabas who was the head of the Paulaner monastery brewery starting from 1773. **Contains Lactose** Hazy Like a Fox is our first true NEIPA brewed with a blend of pale malt, oats, wheat, flaked barley and lactose. It pours a pale gold with an opaque haze. Pineapple and tangerine hop aromatics dance together in the nose while its taste is very soft with a juicy orange and tangerine finish. By tweaking the balance of our brewing water, we gave this beer a very soft and smooth mouthfeel with low perceived hop bitterness. Hazy Like a Fox was double dry-hopped, once during fermentation to give it huge orange juicy character and again post-fermentation to derive intense hop aromatics.

Andygator a creature of the swamp is a unique high-gravity brew made with pale malt German lager yeast and German Perle hops. Unlike other high-gravity brews Andygator is fermented to a dry finish with a slightly sweet flavor and subtle fruit aroma. Reaching an alcohol strength of 8% by volume it is a Helles Dopplebock. You might find it goes well with fried foods. It pairs well with just about anything made with crawfish. Some like it with a robust sandwich! Andygator also is a good aperitif and easily pairs with gorgonzola and creamy blue cheeses. Because of the high alcohol content be cautious---sip it for the most enjoyment.
