Winner: Best chain restaurant in Atlanta | Best of Atlanta

Atlanta is the founding location of some of America’s most beloved chains. However, only one can be crowed the Best of Atlanta.

The results are in.

Coming in first place, Chick-fil-A is proud of their Atlanta heritage. The “Eat Mor Chikin” cows have steered us toward their scrumptious chicken menu for decades.

Our second place winner brings a heaping helping of nostalgia with a side of comfort. Waffle House is Atlanta’s 24-hour go-to spot for dining on delicious diner eats.

For over 40 years, Mellow Mushroom has been serving up fresh, stone-baked pizzas to order in an eclectic, art-filled and family-friendly environment. As our third place winner, each restaurant is locally owned and operated and provides a unique feel focused around great customer service and high-quality food.

These aren’t the only three popular chains that started off in Atlanta. Be sure to visit our other nominees that took inspiration from our city: The Varsity, Taqueria del Sol, Taco Mac Sports Grill, Ted’s Montana Grill, Moe’s Southwest Grill, The Flying Biscuit Cafe and American Deli received a number of write-in votes.
